Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs with acting and dance
Dance classes for children that include musical theatre provide them with solid technical training, performance training, and a fun, supportive environment in which to create, achieve, and grow as dancers and human beings.
Our Musical Theatre classes:
- builds performance quality & confidence
- develops an understanding of dramatic role-playing
- teaches character immersion, similar to acting classes (learning to become/play characters)
- strengthens social bonds as many routines require a partner and working together to tell the story
Our classes focus on confident role-playing through acting and dance. Singing is encouraged but not compulsory. Musical Theatre will instil in your child a sense of wonder and enchantment for the combined arts, as well as a passion for dancing, singing, and acting! Our program is designed to develop the art of storytelling through movement and song while working on performance numbers from the world's most renowned Broadway Classics.
