Acro
Acro gives our dancers a solid foundation to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and body control. It is also a great creative outlet for dancers' feelings and self-expression. Students can express themselves through movement and learn how to channel their energy into positivity. Our focus is on attention to technique and class structure with expected outcomes, as well as Discipline, class etiquette, and attire. We also ensure we have defined class rules, which ensure students are safe and significantly reduce the risk of injury.
A typical acrobatic class consists of cardio, warm-up, and floor exercises, which include balancing and stretching. This is followed by slow work travelling the length of the studio, finishing with tumbling, limbering and partnering. Strength and conditioning drills are incorporated throughout the class to aid the dancer's development. Students are spotted and assisted by the teacher and assistant teachers to achieve the skills and improve in confidence before attempting tricks unaided.
Acrobatic Arts offers a comprehensive training program for dance educators to teach AcroDance safely. Our curriculum covers anatomy, technique, progressions, lesson planning, choreography, and more!
